Ingredients
For the sugar cookie dough:

226g salted butter

200g caster sugar

1/3 tsp vanilla bean (can replace with extract)

1 egg

383g plain flour
Instructions

Make sugar cookie dough

Cream salted butter and caster sugar until fluffy – Mix the salted butter and caster sugar together on a moderately high speed until well blended, fluffy and pale yellow.

Add eggs and vanilla bean and beat until combined.

Fold in plain flour until combined.

Roll out cookie dough

Lightly flour the dough to prevent sticking.

Use a rolling pin and roll the dough out to 5mm.

Preheat oven to 170 degree celcius.

Use your preferred cookie cutters and cut the dough into shapes

Tip: Re-roll the remaining dough and continue cutting until all is used to get more cookies.

Place the cookies on baking sheets and bake for 5-10mins, until golden brown.
